A Gorgeous Villain by Saffron A. Kent

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5 stars.

Here's the synopsis of the book I am going to review!

...............................................................................................................

 #2 in St.Mary's Rebels series
 Standalone novel
 A companion novel series
• High School/ Boarding School Romance with a small age gap (the guy isn't in high school) Not even close to my favorite sub-genre, but oh-well...the aesthetics of the series is way too enticing! Kinda outgrew that stage even back when I was in high school.”
 Forbidden Romance *Shush*
 'Brother's-Rival' Romance
Best friend's brother
Surprise PregnancyThis trope can make my heart full when done right, people!!
• Dual POV
 Written in 1st person

P.S If you made it this far, I already love you! YES, YOU! Buckle in your seat belts for this crazy ride of a review from my perspective. Hopefully, it'll encourage you enough to pick up the book! Anyways, let's roll!

“ The Wild Mustang and his Dancing Fairy had such a beautiful story to tell.

*sighs dreamily*

Okay, so before I begin the review for A Gorgeous Villain, I highly highly recommend that you read its prequel called " The Wild Mustang and the Dancing Fairy" which is set a few years before the events of this book. It helps you understand why things happened the way they did in AGV. And guess what? You get to know more about Conrad Thorne, Calliope's oldest brother, who will have his own book later in the series. More like in #3 of the St.Mary's Rebels series. I mean...I already love Conrad so much and I can't wait for Book 3!!! I don't think I'll be uploading the review for book 1.5 i.e the prequel because it has a poignant cliffhanger and It wouldn't make sense for me to judge the prequel when ai know there's more to come.

Anyway...So, I began reading ST. Mary's Rebels series just so that I could get to this book and now that I am done with Book 2 as well...I just can't seem to get enough of this world. I knew that I would end up loving this concept, even before I began this series. It is a clichรฉ story, plotted in a gorgeously.

Unlike Arrow from book 1—although I mustn't compare— Reed Roman Jackson did not set my nerves on fire out of frustration. I should have been mad at Reed for being the deliberate Villain that he was, but surprisingly... I wasn't. His possessiveness was clear evidence of his love for Callie, all along. He, unknowingly, veiled himself with that asshole farce. I expected more feels from Reed's past, but we didn't get much—which is okay because not every story is the same— so at the end of the day... his villainy demeanor didn't split my nerves like it was aimed to. I didn't exactly like him in beginning, but I didn't even hate him either. However, I really picked up on loving the guy 50% into the book.

Callie is precious... So precious. The way she feels for her Roman... No standing human could love him the way she does and his love for her is just as strong. They have just so manyyyyyy amazing and belly-flutter-worthy moments that you'll have no option but to swoon.

One thing I liked about AGV, over MDA was the insights into the bond the girls share. I didn't see anything in book 1. The book fulfilled that expectation from book 1.

Although, I will say this... There was this unwanted drag with their love confessions and all that jazz... It kinda dimmed the fire that I potentially could have had for this book.

But HALO!!! OMG... THAT BABY. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ❤️ SHE MADE THAT DRAG WORTH IT. HER PARENTS... UGHH!! My only wish is to have a future husband like daddy. My god... Her daddy is such a sucker for her.

This tiny and imperfect family had my heart. They are better together than they were apart, as individuals. That's really something I appreciate in Saffron's books. She brings out the wholeness in togetherness. It's very rare to find a book with 2 characters who are LITERALLY NOTHING without each other.
